Musician of the Year at the Swedish Radio
Jazz Awards "Jazz Cats"

Filip Jers received the prestigious award "Musician of the Year" at the yearly Jazz Awards at jazz club Fasching, organized by Swedish Radio. This prize has been handed out since 1993 to Swedens top jazz musicians and it is with big honour and happiness that Filip receives this award.

Filip Jers Quartet receives Manifest-award

The CD Plays Swedish Folk was awarded "Best Folk Music" at Manifestgalan in Stockholm in february 2016. Manifestgalan is the independent music industry awards ceremony.

Filip Jers receives the Björn J:son Lindh scholarship! J:son Lindh was a legendary flute player, pianist, arranger, composer, working with many of Swedens great artists for more than 30 years.
The scholarship will be handed out Janne Schaffers Christmas concert, at 4 pm on 6:th of december 2015 in Gustav Vasa Church, Stockholm.

competition, which took place at LantarenVenster in Rotterdam, The
Netherlands Saturday,
5 July as part of the North Sea Jazz Festival.

Harmonicas from Japan. He plays their harmonicas and promotes them
around the world.
New CD released "Spiro"
- released 4th may 2011 in Stallet, Stockholm
World Harmonica
Champion Filip Jers releases his whished-for solodebut-CD, that he
calls "Spiro".
"Spiro" means "to breathe" in latin. On his solodebut Filip Jers
breathes notes out of his harmonica.
He also plays guitar, accordion and jawharp on the CD. All thirteen
songs are composed by Filip
Jers with inspiration from the purple notes of jazz, the blue of the
blues and the green notes of
folkmusic.
The CD is a musical journey with focus on the soulfull sound of the
harmonica and its
unique possibilites in the wonderful world of music.
